So immensely happy and grateful to share with you that my series "Oh les beaux jours!"made it to the final at Tokyo International Foto Awards.
This special recognition brings me back to the souvenir and absence of my late grandmother whose inspired this work.
Atelier Route Utrecht
After a year full with bumps and lockdowns it is with great joy that I took part of Atelier Route Utrecht on October 2nd and 3rd. During this very special moment where artists open the doors of their workplace and give a glimpse to how they work, I exhibited for the first time some visuals of my ongoing series Oh les beaux jours.
These images are different than all what I have done so far and they are probably my most intimate work so far which made it a bit exciting and scary for me to see how the public would react. Three images were sold during the weekend and overal reaction was positive and led to nice conversation. Oh joy!
Workshops Still Life and Photography
In the context of my exhibition Hemicrania-Disambiguation at Steck Utrecht, I organised different workshops “Still Life and Photography” for children and for adults. During the workshop participants are encouraged to play with flowers, vegetables, objects from their every day life and to photograph them under natural light. To create a familiar atmosphere and give enough attention to everyone, the number of participants per workshop was limited to four. I have been truly amazed by the creativity of all participants so far. It is not only very special for me to be able to share my story and how I work but also to witness the way people react to it and how they make visible their own inner life.
Those experiences have been so incredibly positive in every possible way that I decided to pursue it and extend it as a regular activity in or outside my atelier.
