Group Exhibition "Loslaten", Heesselt, NL

Proud to share that I've participated in the group exhibition in Historisch cultureel centrum Heesselt on September 30th and October 1st.
Exhibition's theme "Loslaten"(to let go), is something that we all experience at some point in our life and can be interpreted in many ways. To let go of loved ones, to let go of what is not in our hands and we can't fix, to let go of who we were and become who we are.
I am very happy that some silk prints of Hemicrania-Disambiguationwere floating in the beautiful little church in Heesselt and were surrounded by inspiring work of fellow artists Thea Zwije, Paul en Neeltje Hoftijzer, Dik Kusters and Paul Parren.

Atelier Route Utrecht

After a year full with bumps and lockdowns it is with great joy that I took part of Atelier Route Utrecht on October 2nd and 3rd. During this very special moment where artists open the doors of their workplace and give a glimpse to how they work, I exhibited for the first time some visuals of my ongoing series Oh les beaux jours.

These images are different than all what I have done so far and they are probably my most intimate work so far which made it a bit exciting and scary for me to see how the public would react. Three images were sold during the weekend and overal reaction was positive and led to nice conversation. Oh joy!

Hemicrania-Disambiguation on display at Steck, Utrecht

From Augustus 28th to October 17th my award winning series Hemicrania-Disambiguation was on display in the new Utrecht’s oase Steck. Next to the “traditional” prints on paper, I presented some visuals on silk and let them hang so the sun and the wind inside the greenhouse could add their little touch on it. Every week, Noraly Roozendaal the brain, soul and green fingers behind “De glitter gladiool” put some fresh flowers in the exhibition room as part of a dialogue between nature and my work.

I have been overwhelmed by positive reactions for this work and the way it was presented. It was a wonderful experience and my heart is filled with joy and gratitude. Next station for Hemicrania-Disambiguation is the Rotterdam Photo Festival in February 2022.
